Our Board
Our Board of Directors at CHAC are representative of the Aboriginal community which we service.
The board consists of community members from Wentworth, Dareton, Namatjira, Buronga and for the first time we have a Director from Balranald.
The new Board is:


Jan Etrich
Chairperson
Jan Etrich is a Barkindji man who was born in Menindee and grew up in Sunraysia since the early 70’s. Jan is a father of 3 children and grandfather to 6. Jan worked with Mildura Aboriginal Corporation for over 18 years and has served as a director and Vice President on the MAC board as well as a Director for BMEET.
“My hopes for CHAC are to become a better service for the community with much more services, programs, access to Doctors and for more community input so that a better service is provided”

Guy Mitchell
Director
Guy is a local Barkindji man born in Mildura and raised in Buronga. Guy is passionate about working for his people. Guy has worked in many area’s including CDEP, Itha Mari housing, CHAC and Rehabilitation Coordinator at Warakoo.

I am 22 years young, I was born
in Adelaide, South Australia.
Raised in Dareton, Coomealla. I
have lived here all my life. I am
the youngest child of Fred Mercer
and Geraldine King.
I have one brother and a sister.
I currently work at Barkindji
Maraura Elders Environmental
Team, also known as BMEET. I
am employed as a Better
Education Employment
Pathway Officer, I am passionate
about this job as it is in my home
town and I strongly believe that
education is the key to success.
I am involved with the Murdi
Paaki Emerging Leadership
Program and I
have sat at regional assembly
meetings as one of the youngest
delegates.

Sharon Johnson
Director
Sharon comes from Broken Hill and grew up in the Menindee area. Sharon moved to Dareton 22 years ago and became involved in community issues serving on boards such as the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council and Coomealla Health Aboriginal Coorperation as a Director.
"This community has missed out on many things in the past and I would like get as much as we can for our people in the community"
